The InstaPost that changed our Spring Training weekend!

MARCH 16, 2019

We were about to attend the Cubs vs. D-back game… and then something very very special happened!

Mr. Brandon Morrow

Then, this man right here made the impossible happen! With a direct message to Hunter’s Instagram account, Brandon invited our family to the Cubs training facility to meet him and watch pitching / batting practice as his VIP’s before Sunday’s game. What a generous and down-to-earth human being. He spent 30+ minutes chatting with us, field-level, behind home plate. What a special experience!

And then, Brandon made another seemingly impossible thing happen… our boys got to HIGH-5 each and every Chicago Cub on the starting lineup! Can you name them all? Our boys sure can!

THE Ryne Sandburg

Even Dad’s childhood dreams came true this weekend when Mr. Ryne Sandburg walked up behind us. Brandon Morrow said: “Hey Rhyno! Can you take a quick picture with this family?” He said, “of course,” and then came over and generously took a picture with the Grelling boys!

Mom, the Captain of our Team!

Mom’s heart was full as her boys got to meet their MLB heroes, HIGH-5 every player they watch on TV, and get more signed baseballs and pictures than they could hold! Tears flowed, people.

Here’s footage of the boys full-video interaction with Hunter’s #T1D hero, Mr. Brandon Morrow.

Hunter’s Signed Ball

That’s a Brandon Morrow signed ball, right there!

Hudson’s Signed Ball

That’s a second Brandon Morrow signed ball, right there!

END IT WITH AN NBA GAME

The Suns vs. Bulls game was the perfect way to end our family weekend together in Phoenix! Both our boys got to enjoy the sports they love. And, Mom and Dad got to talk about God’s many blessings all the way home!
God is so good!
